Membership

What does the PMI membership mean?

In a word: Commitment. PMI membership means that you are committed to your project management career and professional development. It shows this commitment to employers, colleagues and stakeholders, and gives you an advantage in the job market. It also gives you access to valuable knowledge, networks and resources to help you develop your skills and evolve.

As project management practitioners we are committed to doing what is right and honorable. We set high expectations to ourselves and strive to meet these standards in all aspects of our lives, at work or at home. The Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct describes the expectations we set to ourselves and to our co-practitioners in the global project management community. It highlights the ideals we aspire to, as well as the behaviors that are mandatory in our professional and volunteering roles.

Benefits of the PMI Membership

As a PMI member, you get exclusive access to PMI publications and worldwide standards, as well as networking opportunities through ProjectManagement.com and the PMI Chapter. You will gain experience and evolve through our volunteer opportunities to become a leader, and you will also receive discounts on trainings, events, certification exams and renewals.

PMI membership can be purchased via the Marketplace . Since the membership is not automatically renewed, members must renew it themselves.

Benefits of the PMI Chapter Membership

If you are already a PMI member, you should join a chapter in your area. Meet your colleagues, make new contacts, network and build knowledge. Share your solutions and ideas. Enjoy activities and events. In Germany, you can choose from four chapters in the regions around Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt and Munich.

The PMI Chapter membership can be purchased either together with the PMI membership or separately. It also expires after 1 year and needs to be actively renewed. This can also be performed via the Marketplace or via the "Quick Membership Renewal" button on the Chapter's website.

Types of membership
